Church Administrator

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Greet visitors, answer the telephone, screen and direct calls, 
and take and relay messages
  • Collaborate with the Creative & Communications Team to execute Tower Grove bulletins, promotions and to secure all presentation needs for services
  • Update and manage Tower Grove social media and website
  • Assist with monthly newsletter
  • Manage event sign ups (newcomer brunch, connect groups, baptism, membership classes, etc)
  • Manage infoTG email and mail
  • Respond to weekly connect cards
  • Administrate and manage Tower Grove Planning Center Online groups, initiatives and events including: sign-up processes, content management, and updating member contact information
  • Maintain inventory lists for office/FOH supplies and place orders as needed
  • Organize supplies and deliveries to ensure common spaces are clean and welcoming
  • Manage the church calendar and Tower Grove facility space for classes, events, weddings, etc.
  • Make copies, create documents/spreadsheets for reporting/tracking data, organize and file documents, and take meeting minutes/notes
  • Assist with special event planning/execution
  • Maintain attendance/giving spreadsheet
  • Process reconciliations, reimbursements and invoices (Nexonia/Schnucks)
  • Manage and organize Lead Pastor’s calendar and email, complete and submit budget reconciliations, and assist with other management tasks as needed
  • Attend meetings with and/or on behalf of the Lead Pastor as requested
  • Assist with sermon preparation as needed
  • Create and distribute sermon slides
  • All other duties as assigned
    • QUALIFICATIONS:

      • Fulfills the Journey’s membership requirements as outlined in the membership covenant
      • Fulfills the character qualifications and duties of Deacon as taught in Scriptures (1 Tim 3:8-13)
      • Strong detail-orientation, organization and planning skills
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
      • Ability to work on multiple diverse tasks/projects simultaneously
      • Humble, desire to continually improve
      • Follows through on communication and projects to completion
      • Demonstrates patience in bringing order to chaotic situations
      • Demonstrates creativity and flexibility in problem solving
      • Customer service orientation; high level of enthusiasm
      • Ability to quickly learn new technology platforms and systems
      • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
        • Status: Full-time, hourly (non-exempt)

          Schedule/Hours: 40-45 hrs/week
