What do you love about St. Louis?
As an east coaster I never imagined that I would end up in the mid-west, but St. Louis has slowly become my home! I love spending time in Forest Park and Tower Grove Park and the wealth of events, activities and festivals that they host. St. Louis is a place where I can experience good food, the arts, the outdoors and good friendships!

Karis House Counselor and Intake Coordinator

Why are you at The Journey?
I feel that God has brought me to The Journey and asked me to stay at The Journey, and it's an honor to get to work here. It's more than my work, and more than a place I go to worship, it's my family and friends, and support system. God used The Journey in huge ways to draw me to himself in a time of great grief and doubt. I am amazed that I now get to walk with others in need of grace and healing.

What do you love about St. Louis?
I love that St. Louis is a great place to raise a family; there are so many free or low cost options for families and kids. I also love my neighborhood. It's safe and the people really look out for each other.

Operations Administrator

Why are you at The Journey?
I am at The Journey because the gospel is at the center of our mission. The Journey's commitment to God's word, discipleship, and living on mission is what makes me love this church so much. I am so thankful for how God has used The Journey to deepen my walk with God and I can't wait to see all the ways God continues to use this church in the lives of others.

What do you love about St. Louis?
I was born and raised here, so this city has always been home. I love it for several reasons — mainly that we have the best baseball team in American and so many fun things to do!

Why are you at The Journey?
I am here because God stirs my heart to love Him and His gospel and gives me a passion for walking with others as they come to love God and His gospel more deeply. I love that, at The Journey, God and His message is held as absolutely relevant for all of life and is, in fact, the source of life…and that we get front row seats in watching the power of a Holy God unfold.

What do you love about St. Louis?
I love St. Louis – the culture, diversity, the different neighborhoods, and all that makes St. Louis unique! I love exploring the city, finding new places and restaurants to visit, new things to try, and the variety of experiences we get to have here. I also love reading, walking, and hiking at all the nearby parks and rivers.

Why are you at The Journey?
I began attending The Journey six years ago, when I moved to St Louis. During these six years, God has transformed my understanding of Him, His love for me and my deep, desperate need for Him. A lot of ways God completed his work in me was through being a part of community at the Journey and serving at the Karis House. I never would of imagined I would end up working here, but am so thankful to be a part of the team. It is a privilege to be a part of God's restorative work in the lives of the individuals I get to be in relationship with.

What do you love about St. Louis?
I have lived in St. Louis the last six years, and there are so many things I love about this town! I love the neighborhood feel and that there are farmers markets and parks everywhere. I am thankful for all the fun, free things there are to do, and how the city comes alive in the summer.
