    Proverbs 6:6-11; 23:13-16

    Tim Holley walks us through God's purpose for work, the problems we face in our work that keep of us from enjoying it, and what we can actually do about it.

  • Proverbs 6:6-11

    Go to the ant, O sluggard;
    consider her ways, and be wise.
    Without having any chief,
    officer, or ruler,
    she prepares her bread in summer
    and gathers her food in harvest.
    How long will you lie there, O sluggard?
    When will you arise from your sleep?
    10 A little sleep, a little slumber,
    a little folding of the hands to rest,
    11 and poverty will come upon you like a robber,
    and want like an armed man.

    Proverbs 23:13-16

    13 Do not withhold discipline from a child;
    if you strike him with a rod, he will not die.
    14 If you strike him with the rod,
    you will save his soul from Sheol.
    15 My son, if your heart is wise,
    my heart too will be glad.
    16 My inmost being [1] will exult
    when your lips speak what is right. (ESV)
