Graphic Design Intern

    You will:
    • Be immersed in our creative processes
    • Work closely with the staff Graphic Designer and Creative Director
    • Attend and participate in department staff meetings and internship evaluations
    • Lead research initiatives related to your focus or concentration
    • Become an expert at distilling tasks and actions from meetings
    • Create visual elements/designs for distribution to, print, mobile devices, and social media
    Experience and Qualification Requirements:
    • Actively enrolled in, or a recent graduate of, a public relations, marketing, advertising, film, fine arts or related undergraduate program (or equivalent)
    • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and with Apple based products
    • Must have a portfolio of previous design work
    • Able to interact professionally with Journey staff and non-profit partners
    • Ability to take a direction and work within a team setting
    • Must possess strong communication (oral and written) skills
    • Ability to meet deadlines
    • Able to grow as a leader
    • Organized and can anticipate and thrive in a rapidly changing environment
    Internship Guidelines
    • Internships are for college students (sophomore status and above or graduate level)
    • Must demonstrate high degree of confidentiality
    • Must fill out internship application, send resume and portfolio to the The Journey - Creative Communications Department
    • Must adhere to the policies and procedures set forth in The Journey employee handbook
    • Internships do not guarantee full-time positions with The Journey upon completion
    • Internships range between 6-24 hours on a weekly basis
