“Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!”

During Advent, we sought to slow down and behold Jesus—to see how He is our true peace, joy, love, hope, and life. When we take time to look at something from every angle, we often discover things we never noticed before. Christmas and Easter are stories we return to again and again because they are the stories of our salvation. Yet, despite their power, these stories can become overly familiar. We hear them, but sometimes we miss their weight, their significance, their depth. Many know these stories, even if only at a surface level, and this familiarity can rob us of their wonder and glory.

On the week that Jesus was to be crucified, He rode into the city of Jerusalem on a donkey as the King of Glory. On Good Friday, we remember the sacrifice and redemption that was bought by Jesus as the Lamb. And on Easter, we celebrate the victory of Jesus as the Savior of the world.
